Restoring Green on Earth: Join the MyTree Campaign

FCDS recognizes that the current efforts to restore green on earth are falling short in addressing the extensive damage caused by human activities. We are reaching out to individuals, organizations, government bodies, and like-minded supporters to join us in our mission of achieving complete restoration of green on earth.
The MyTree campaign focuses primarily on rural areas, where we form youth clubs or strengthen existing Village Development Committees (VDCs) to actively participate in our tree planting interventions.
Here’s how the MyTree campaign works:

  1. Creating Environmental Awareness: We raise awareness among villagers about the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
  2. Fostering Accountability: We encourage villagers to take responsibility for their village’s environment and ecosystem by fostering a sense of accountability.
  3. Village Mapping: We conduct a comprehensive mapping exercise to compare the current state of the village with its condition from 20 years ago. This helps villagers understand the extent of environmental degradation.
  4. Analysis and Action Planning: Villagers analyze the situation and identify the root causes of environmental lapses. Together, they develop action plans to restore and improve their village’s environment.
  5. Pledge for Restoration: Villagers take a pledge to bring back the healthy environment they enjoyed 20 years ago. This includes planting an adequate number of trees, halting deforestation, and maintaining a balanced ecosystem.
  6. Implementation and Progress Review: Action plans are put into motion, and the progress is regularly reviewed in monthly meetings of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), youth clubs, and VDCs.

At FCDS, we firmly believe that restoring green on earth and achieving a balanced ecosystem is crucial for the well-being of future generations. We emphasize that every individual must contribute to this cause. Together, we can make a difference!
